Eid Milad Celebrations Reach New Heights: As Eid Milad-un-Nabi is near, preparations are in full swing, with residents eagerly preparing for the event. The demand for special white clothing has surged, leading to a shortage of white clothes in the market. Tailors work overtime to meet their needs, resulting in a rise in tailoring costs. Shalwar kameez suits now cost Rs1,700 more to tailor, while matching vests have increased by Rs700. Milad Committees are also busy sewing identical clothes for their members.
Food catering prices have also hiked, with chickpea pulao costing Rs10,000 per daig and biryani priced at Rs18,000. Despite these increases, citizens are placing record orders for langar, which will be prepared the night before Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
The city is beautifully decorated with vibrant flags and lights at mosques, Imam Bargahs, and commercial centers. Security measures have been intensified for Milad processions, including the installation of 500 CCTV cameras. Heavy vehicles, weapons, and political flags will be banned from procession routes to ensure a peaceful celebration.
With the arrival of Rabiul Awwal, the atmosphere is filled with the recitation of Durood Pak, enhancing the spiritual essence of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
