Free solar power systems announced for selected cities: As stated by a private news channel, the Punjab govt has made notable progress in its solar project, with the working plan for offering free solar systems now ready Serve.
The project will be come out in phases, starting with the CM of Punjab approving the pilot phase of the solar scheme. In this initial phase, solar systems will be offered at no cost to consumers who use up to 200 units of electricity.
02 districts, Rajanpur and Attock, have been selected for the first phase distribution of free solar systems, with the project scheduled to commence in October. The Punjab govt plans to give solar systems worth 30 billion rupees under the solar scheme.
In the 2nd phase of the project, solar systems will be distributed in less developed districts across Punjab. Customers using up to 200 units of electricity will receive these systems for free, while those consuming up to 500 units will have access to interest-free loans for solar panel installation.
The solar panels will be offered to consumers on a five-year installment plan. The installments will be lower during the winter months when solar generation is increased.
