Government raises LPG prices for September: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has raised the price of indigenous liquefied petroleum gas by Rs. 6.99 per kg, increasing the cost of 11.8 kg domestic cylinders by Rs. 82.5 for September 2024.
In a notification on Saturday, the regulator set the consumer price of LPG at Rs. 243.99 per kg for September. The 11.8 kg domestic cylinder price for customers has been set at Rs. 2,879.1 for September 2024 compared to Rs. 2,796.5 in August.
It bears written that the LPG producer price is linked with Saudi Aramco-CP and the US Dollar exchange rate. Compared to the last month, Saudi Aramco-CP increased by nearly 3.7 percent, while the average US dollar exchange rate was slightly up by 0.046 percent, which caused the LPG rates to increase for consumers.
