KP to Automate Local Government Functions

KP to Automate Local Government Functions: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) govt is set to automate Local Government functions under the Vision 2030 initiative, headed by the Chief Minister. This transformation is a joint effort by KPITB and the Local Govt, Elections, and Rural Development (LGERD) Department, focusing on digitizing public service delivery. 06 key platforms will be developed, including a Financial Record Information Management System, an electronic auction and bidding system, a property management system, and a building plan approval system. These digital tools aim to streamline administrative processes, improve transparency, and improve efficiency in governance.

Furthermore, KPITB will introduce its Paymir payment platform for LGERD, allowing digital transactions for revenue collection and public services. This integration will simplify payments for citizens and provincial revenue. A centralized performance dashboard will also keep an eye on key performance indicators and ensure accountability in the Local Government’s operations. This initiative represents a significant step towards modernized governance in KP.
