Motorway Police Introduce Innovative Method to Prevent Accidents on M5

Motorway Police Introduce Innovative Method to Prevent Accidents on M5: The Motorway Police have introduced a unique method to minimize accidents on the Sukkur-Multan motorway. To prevent drivers from falling asleep at the wheel, especially during night journeys, the MP encourages drivers to wash their faces, a simple step purpose at keeping them alert.

Accidents on Pakistan’s motorways, including M5, are a major concern, with fatigue being a leading cause. As by the National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP), 43.42% of accidents on the Lahore-Multan Motorway (M3) are due to drivers dozing off. Furthermore, careless driving accounts for 27.63% of incidents, while tire issues cause 14.47% of accidents.

To further combat fatigue, drivers are suggested to take breaks every 2-3 hours, stay hydrated, and use anti-dozing devices, ensuring safer travel for all.
