PM Shehbaz Sharif Launches New Organ Donation Campaign: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a new national drive to promote organ donation. As part of this initiative, individuals who register as organ donors will receive a special logo on their National Identity Cards, recognizing their commitment to saving lives. Talking on International Identity Day, PM Sharif pointed out organ donation as a compassionate act that offers a 2nd chance to those in need and urged all citizens to participate in this life-saving cause.
The prime minister also forced the importance of identity in society, emphasizing its role in inclusion and access to services. He called for collective efforts to enhance the national registration and biometric systems and promote digital solutions for better identity verification.
Furthermore, PM Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to protecting the ozone layer on World Ozone Day, praising international agreements like the Montreal Protocol for their role in combating ozone depletion.
