During the meeting, Nazir emphasized that strict measures would be enforced if the shortages of insulin and other critical medicines were not resolved within 24 hours. He issued a stern warning against anyone attempting to exploit the situation by inflating drug prices, stressing that such actions violate the Drug Pricing Policy 2018. Nazir assured the public that government hospitals have sufficient stocks of insulin and rejected reports of widespread shortages in the market. This crackdown aims to stabilize medicine availability and curb unethical practices that threaten public health.
