Punjab Set to Launch Modern Double-Decker Tourism Buses Soon: The Tourism Department of Punjab is thinking to launching new, modern buses on September 27, coinciding with World Tourism Day. This initiative focuses on making sure the administration swiftly implements tourism measures.
These fully AC double-decker buses were scheduled to start on August 14, but a late from the department reason to a postponement.
The buses, offered by the World Bank to boost tourism, have yet to arrive at the terminal. They were official intended to operate on August 14 but will now be launched on the new date.
The Punjab govt has also been working on a glass train project, which will run between Rawalpindi and Bhurban in Murree.
A working group of 18 departments has been formed under the leadership of the transport minister of Punjab, with key such as the Rawalpindi and Murree deputy commissioners.
The 65-kilometer train route will start from Saddar in Rawalpindi and pass through pretty areas like Margalla Hills and Barakahu before ending in Bhurban.
The group is also tasked with label challenges like land acquisition for the train tracks and stations, making sure the project is completed efficiently with minimal expenses.
